About the Artist

Whimsical patterns that can usually be hung vertically or horizontally. Colorful, unique compositions that escape reality. Susan Neas begins each painting without a predictable result. The “mosaic style” is painted one shape at a time with white space between each shape.  The final creation is always a one-of-a-kind surprise.  You may find Susan’s art on repeat when it’s made into wallpaper or fabric.

After retiring from a successful career as a graphic artist and co-owner of Thomas Printers in Costa Mesa, Susan transitioned her focus to her personal artwork, dedicating herself fully to her craft.  Since 2020, she has refined a distinctive mosaic style.  Her preferred medium is watercolor and acrylic paint, resulting in vibrant celebrations of color and form.

Fun Fact: Her unique style was born from fear of committing to starting and finishing an entire painting. Accessing her technical expertise and a deep love for the fluid, organic qualities of her chosen mediums, this irrational fear created an exciting technique that fueled her inspiration and motivation to paint.

Consignments are welcome!  Susan LOVES to take on consignments where she is inspired by her customer’s requested colors and themes.
